Empowered Women
Nature based empowerment photo sessions
Empower women
Women have shared an intimate and profound connection with the natural world since the beginning of time. Rooted in ancient wisdom and carried throughout generations, this bond between women and nature is a testament to the intrinsic harmony that exists when the feminine spirit intertwines with the Earth's rhythms. Women, as the bearers of life, have a unique understanding of the cycles of creation and renewal. This connection is deeply woven into the fabric of our being, mirroring the cycles of nature itself. From the miracle of childbirth to the nurturing of families, women embody the essence of growth, renewal, and sustenance.
I once heard someone say that if you want to save the planet, you should empower women.
Historically, women have been the stewards of biodiversity, preserving and passing down knowledge of medicinal plants, agricultural practices, and sustainable living.
Modern times see women at the forefront of environmental movements, advocating for the protection of ecosystems, biodiversity, and the overall health of the planet. The connection between women and nature transcends personal experience, evolving into a collective force for environmental conservation and sustainability.
Throughout the Bible, nature is often used as a metaphor to convey spiritual truths. Trees, rivers, and fields become symbols of growth, life, and abundance. Women, as nurturers, caregivers, and life-bearers, embody these natural metaphors, reflecting the divine order present in the world.
When women embrace their innate connection to nature, they tap into a wellspring of strength and resilience that not only nurtures their own well-being but also contributes to the greater harmony of the world around them.
I have always felt drawn, as an artist, to the way women are connected to nature. My desire with these sessions is to empower you by capturing the essence of your individuality, strength, and beauty in a way that goes beyond conventional photography, in relationship with nature.
In a world inundated with idealized images and societal expectations, we often find ourselves grappling with an unattainable standard of beauty. From flawless skin to a specific body shape, the pressure to conform to these societal norms can leave us feeling like we are never enough.
Beauty standards
The journey to self-love becomes a challenging one as we navigate the complexities of societal expectations. The pressure to conform to a narrow definition of beauty can erode self-esteem, creating a sense of inadequacy that persists across various aspects of life (in our intimate relationships, friendships, can shape our desires and sources of joy, etc.)
Self Love
Reclaiming
I have seen and personally felt the detrimental impact of these societal pressures on women's self-perception. It's time to rewrite the narrative about beauty from a world view to one connected to our creation. These empowerment photo sessions are a celebration of self-expression, allowing women to embrace their "imperfections", quirks, and individuality with pride and joy.

"I just haven’t felt very beautiful lately and am struggling to find some confidence and self worth without validation from others and I want to feel like I am worthy and beautiful and it’s been a while since I’ve felt that way. Idk lately I’ve hated like every picture I’ve taken and I don’t want to look at pictures of myself and only see things I don’t like. I feel like I go back and forth between thinking negatively about my face and then my body. Some days are better than others with each I guess, but idk I think it would be nice to do some portraits"
This is not just about creating beautiful pictures; it's about empowering you. We will go beyond the surface, diving into the core of your identity & even struggles, to capture the strength, resilience, and beauty that make you unique.
